I was diagnosed in February 2013 with stage 3B Cancer. I struggled with the thought of chemotherapy and radiation. At that time, I chose to do nothing. I was told that if I didn't do anything, I wouldn't live - at the most she gave me six months. Nine months later, I landed in the hospital where I had surgery and treatments scheduled for 2014. Even though things didn't end up the way I wanted, God still gave me a miracle when it didn't metastasize. Six months later, I received my CANCER-FREE status!

Mom was my deciding factor regarding treatments. While I was in the hospital, she firmly said, "Kathy, you're going to take the treatments, and we're going to start planning your Cancer-Free Party!" That was when I began. To encourage me during my 5 1/2 hour long treatments she'd question me about my party decisions, wondering if I had chose a menu, etc. Whenever she did this, she would place my focus onto my ending result...being Cancer-free!

This technique was super beneficial to me that I planned two Cancer-Free Party's for myself! One with family and the other was with my Church family. I can't describe the feeling I had at each party. My emotions were all over the place. I was grateful to God, yet emotional at how hard of a trial it was. I cried when the church kids sang Mandisa's song, Overcomer, to me.

Not long after that, I knew that every Warrior needed a celebration! That's why I created a Cancer-Free Party Planner for Warriors, and a Cancerversary Party Planner for Survivors. Since then, I've helped many stay the course by having them create their Cancer-Free Party. You'll find both of these along with several other supportive books in my STORE.

Don't wait until the end of your treatments to set your Cancer-free focus. Do it now by planning your party! And, please don't wait for the Doctor to say you're Cancer-free. Instead, let faith arise and carry you through this journey. Set your mind on knowing without a doubt that your ending result is CANCER-FREE!
